Colour as a stylistic device of art has largely detached itself in the exhibition from classic colour media such as oil and acrylic as well as pictorial gestures. And yet COLORES UNITI brings together works that arise out of a pictorial attitude and come from artists who describe themselves above all as drawers, ceramicists, conceptualists, chaos researchers and sculptors. On the nine walls of the show, visual alliances form between the individual positions, combining to create a spatial chorus of heterogeneous voices, materials and approaches. The wall colour captures, binds, contradicts and reflects the artistic position as a sensitive, wild and unpredictable counterpart. Spatial openings, inclusions and marginal positions follow on naturally. Each artistic statement is part of a collectivity strengthened by the autonomy of each individual.
The polychromatic echo of the line meets pressed sand, light palimpsests meet structural images. Checked patterns enter the competition with each other and form contrasting films to the lyrical games of the unconscious, which manifest themselves in Rorschach tests. Realistic sprinklings interrupt the abstract, modernist orientations of the imagery. Sculptural constructions, haptic art impressions and the fetishism of each material aesthetic - see the thick, glimmering application of graphite - welcome the experiment, the creation of form and the mistake. The different generations of the show intone a visual harmony in the dissonance because it is modern to negate and to celebrate the colour value: coloured and white, grey and neon. The colours have voices: multiple voices!
