WOMEN ARTISTS OF THE NORTH EAST LIBRARY EVENTS AND CALL FOR DONATIONS

Women Artists of the North East Library curated by Holly Argent continues at Workplace Foundation in Gateshead until 9th September as part of Great Exhibition of the North.

Opening with works from Phyllis Christopher, Tess Denman-Cleaver, Kate Liston and Harriet Sutcliffe, the exhibition has since included interventions by Jade Sweeting & Janina Sabaliauskaite and Sophie Buxton.

To coincide with the exhibition, a programme of events has been devised by Holly Argent, expanding on ideas brought about through conversations with the artists; exploring broadly, ideas of collective readership, methods of feminist practice and regional artistic legacies. Further details about the next events are below.
