Hugo Canoilas: Unfaithful to daydreams, Installation View, Workplace London 2016 Exhibition Walkthrough with the Artist Hugo Canoilas in conversation with Alda Galsterer & Verónica de Mello of ProjectoMap   11am Friday 7th October 2016   at Workplace London, 61 Conduit Street, Mayfair, London, W1S 2GB   As part of the programme of events running alongside the current exhibition Hugo Canoilas: Unfaithful to daydreams at Workplace London, we are delighted to invite you to a walkthrough of the exhibition with the artist and Co-Directors of ProjectoMap Verónica de Mello and Alda Galsterer.   RSVP essential: rsvp@workplacegallery.co.uk   Hugo Canoilas: Unfaithful to daydreams, Installation View, Workplace London 2016 Hugo Canoilas was born in 1977 in Lisbon, Portugal and lives and works in Vienna, Austria. Recent Exhibitions and projects include: When elephants march in, curated my Mark Kremer at De Appel, Amsterdam, NL;  Paradise Birds - 30th São Paulo Biennial;  Infinite Tasks, Gulbenkian Museum, Lisbon; Dear painter paint me - with heart and reason, Trafó Contemporary Art Center, Budapest. Canoilas is currently developing a major project for MNAC - Chiado Museum in Portugal opening in November 2016.    ProjectoMap is a curatorial non-profit project of research and mapping the universe of contemporary art in Portugal which began in 2009, and was publically launched in 2011 by the Cultural Association Colectivo de Curadores. Seven years later, ProjectoMap has become one of the biggest online platforms presenting itself as a database and an interactive map, offering a differenciated reading of the geography of Portuguese contemporary practice. ProjectoMap has been a Portuguese phenomenon, with national and international recognitation, developing and executing conferences, presentations and exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. Today, ProjectoMap is led by the curators Alda Galsterer and Verónica de Mello.   Exhibition runs through 5th November, Thurs / Friday 10am - 5pm, Frieze week: Tues - Sat 10am - 5pm (and by appointment) - Thurs 6th Oct open late until 8pm   For enquiries regarding the works in this exhibition please email: sales@workplacegallery.co.uk   www.workplacegallery.co.uk
