Workplace is pleased to announce the inauguration of a new temporary space in Haggerston, East London. The 1,700 sq. ft ground floor gallery overlooking London's famous Regent's Canal will launch this May and run through to the end of the year. The new exhibition space joins Workplace's other locations in Marylebone and Gateshead and will complement the program by hosting a series of group and solo exhibitions by the artists on the roster as well as international artists showing with the gallery for the first time. "Opening a new outpost outside of the traditional West End gallery district allows us to bring our program to a different audience within a new community of artists and collectors, whilst also providing space to present the projects that we have been developing for the past year but have had to postpone due to the various lockdowns." - Miles Thurlow, Co-Founder of Workplace. The new location, a renowned creative hub in the city and home to many artists' studios, is a perfect fit for Workplace, which developed out of the artist-led scene in the North East of England and established its first space in Gateshead, away from any of the country's obvious commercial gallery hotspots. |
